The aim of this project is to use data visualization to explore how to present taste/flavour more vividly and intuitively.
Sexy Tea is a brand of milk tea only opened in Changsha(Hunan Province, China), and is known by milk tea lovers all over the country. The name of each milk tea is very abstract, 三季虫,子时雪芒,素颜锡兰,枉凝红, and so on. This unique style of Sexy Tea creates a problem: it is difficult for consumers to get flavour information of products from their name.
This project is concerned about the situation for consumers of "blind choice" caused by the abstract product name of milk tea, and the irrationality of the recommendation system caused by the difference between different people's taste feelings. Since taste is entirely derived from subjective feelings, it is valuable to capture these personal feelings to some extent through the information map of taste attributes. These charts and design can be reused to correct for any perceived bias.
